Manufacturers
BBN Labs helps small manufacturing businesses modernize without disrupting production. That covers quoting and order-paperwork automation, a credible B2B website, cybersecurity readiness and staff training plans. Energy and productivity projects are coordinated with qualified partners. Provincial and federal programs across Canada focus specifically on manufacturers. We screen your project against the ones that may apply, subject to program rules.
Pain points
What manufacturing business owners tell us
Skilled hours lost to paperwork
Quoting and job tracking bounce between spreadsheets, inboxes and accounting software. The hours come from the same few people who quote and run the work.
The website fails the supplier check
Buyers and engineers quietly vet suppliers online before any call. A dated site with no capability detail costs RFQs you never hear about.
Customers push security requirements downstream
Larger customers increasingly send cybersecurity questionnaires and expect basic controls. A weak answer can put existing contracts at risk.
Energy costs ride on aging equipment
Compressed air, lighting, motors and HVAC keep running on old assumptions while replacement decisions get deferred. The waste compounds every shift.

Frequently asked questions
We're a 12-person shop, not a factory. Do these programs apply to businesses our size?
Many manufacturing and productivity programs are aimed squarely at small and mid-sized companies, and some define eligibility starting at a handful of employees. That said, every program sets its own thresholds for size, revenue and project type, and final decisions rest with the administrator. We screen your project against current programs and tell you honestly if your size or project type rules something out.
Do you supply or install production equipment?
No. Facility and equipment work, including energy retrofits and production technology, is scoped by BBN Labs and delivered by qualified third-party partners, with who-does-what explained before any quotation or referral is finalized. Our direct work is the digital and office side: websites that win RFQs, quoting and paperwork automation, cybersecurity readiness and training coordination, plus grant-ready documentation for the larger projects.
Our customers are asking for cybersecurity questionnaires. Can you help?
Yes, this is increasingly common in supply chains and we treat it as a readiness project: an honest review of where you stand, basic controls like two-factor logins, backups, access management and staff awareness, and documentation you can answer questionnaires from. For requirements beyond that level, such as formal certifications, we coordinate qualified specialists and tell you before anything is quoted.
Upgrade your manufacturing business
Tell us about your business and project. You get a practical plan, a clear quote, and an honest read on which programs may help pay. It's all free, with nothing to lose.
