The local picture
Most Yukon funding runs through the territory's Economic Development Fund. It reimburses eligible project costs after you're approved, up to $30,000 in Tier 1 and up to $100,000 in Tier 2, which covers up to 75% of eligible costs and 50% of capital. That pays for work that brings customers in: new signage and a storefront refresh, a website that pulls its weight, photos and video, and the trade-show and market-research costs of reaching buyers outside the territory.
Tourism is where Yukon puts its biggest dollars. The Community Tourism Destination Development Fund reimburses up to 75% of project costs and 50% of capital, to a maximum of $375,000, and the Tourism Cooperative Marketing Fund is a non-repayable grant for online ads, trade shows and media tours, open until October 1, 2026.
