How applying works

  1. 01Complete the Program Funding Registration (PFR) form if you are new to the program since 2023.
  2. 02Submit a complete application with quotes for all projects by the intake deadline.
  3. 03If approved, review, sign, and return the Letter of Agreement within 30 days.
  4. 04Incur and pay for eligible expenses only after signing the agreement.
  5. 05Submit a Program Claim Form with copies of all invoices and proof of payment by the claim deadline.

What to know before you count on it

  • Income-based caps apply: farms earning $30k-$99,999 are capped at $5,000; those earning $100k-$249,999 at $10,000; only those earning $250k+ can access the full $20,000.
  • Agri-businesses must prove minimum annual purchases of raw agricultural ingredients ($5,000 to $25,000 depending on income tier).
  • You must pay all costs first and submit proof of payment (e-transfer, cleared cheque, etc.) to get reimbursed.
  • Website funding covers one-time development costs only; monthly fees, subscriptions, and ongoing software licensing are excluded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this for travel to trade shows?

No. Travel expenses are explicitly excluded. Only consolidated product sample shipping costs and logistical support are eligible under Stream 3.

Does this cover monthly software fees?

No. Ongoing software licensing costs, fees, and standard software purchases are excluded. Only one-time website development costs are eligible.

What is the maximum I can get if my farm income is $80,000?

If your eligible gross farming income is between $30,000 and $99,999, your maximum funding is capped at $5,000 per application.

What you can combine it with
